Prepare for a Safe & Damage Free Experience

Shipping preparation checklist for hauling your RV, Travel Trailer, Camping Trailer, Toy Hauler, Horse Trailer, Farm Implement or Cargo Trailer.

It is your responsibility to make sure your travel trailer, RV or other trailer and property are secure and ready for transport prior to our driver arriving for pick up.

Check & Double Check

We have put together a checklist for your convenience. There may be items not included on this list that are specific to your special needs. This list is intended only as a starting point to help you prepare for transport. Please make sure you are thorough in securing your load.

  • All items inside your trailer must be secured properly. Anything loose must be secured as items will move during transport.

  • Check your trailer hitch and safety chains to make sure they are in proper working order.

  • Check your trailer's tire pressure.

  • Verify that your trailer lights are in working order.

  • If your trailer has a breaking system, verify that they are in good working condition.

  • Do not leave valuables inside your unit that do not need to be there.

  • Doors, windows, vents, awnings and drawers should be shut in a secure manner.

  • Remove or secure and loose items on the outside of your load that can be loosened by wind.

  • Inspect your trailer and load, inside and out for anything loose or out of the ordinary.

  • Remove water and fuel from any tanks.

  • Do an inspection inside and out to make sure everything is secure. Our drivers are not responsible for any damage inside your trailer or RV from objects moving during transport.

  • It is strongly recommended that you shrink wrap boats to protect the inside against damage caused by flying debris.

  • Boat windshields that can be removed should be removed and stored securely within the boat.

  • Boat masts must be securely fastened.

  • You will need to arrange to have your boat put in the water at your destination. Our drivers are not allowed to do this for you.

  • All cargo needs to be properly packed and wrapped to prevent damage during transport.

  • Partial loads inside utility and cargo trailers need to be secured in place with rope and/or cargo bars.

  • You will need to arrange for help unloading contents of of utility and cargo trailers. Our drivers are responsible to deliver your trailer and its contents to your location. They are not allowed to help with unloading for liability reasons.
