The Transportation Worker Identification Credential, A.K.A. TWIC®, is required by
The Maritime Transportation Security Act for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation's maritime facilities and vessels.
Having this credential means that we have passed the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) security threat assessment (background check) and are cleared for access to American military installations, docks and other security sensitive areas.
